. This is the last year of an old TV contract before everything went nuts in 2014., There will be more available to NBC bow, and the opportunity for CBS and Fox games to trade. It will keep cats and dogs in harmony and all that, but there's mmajunkie 12 months away.
We're going to look at both the NFL's big event guide, as well as a network-by-network takes to see how everyone in creating another chance intensely-rated football season. Only three-and-a-half months to pre-season, eh? Big events
The large head, of course, mmajunkie is that the NFL could not get the Ravens at home this season to start, as the most recent tradition, mmajunkie due to scheduling conflicts with the Orioles. So Baltimore will open the 2013 season on the road as they take on Peyton Manning and the Broncos on NBC Donderdag 5 September. The actual banner to gather and return home to Baltimore will be a lower-profile case, when the Ravens host Cleveland on Sunday 15 September. It will be a mere 01:00 ET CBS regional broadcast.
Sunday Night Football opener vs Giants Cowboys is that ... okay. It is still a very good rivalry, but it indicates the second consecutive season with two games NBC opened with either the Giants, Cowboys or Broncos. The only variable this season the Ravens.
The first Fox leaves open the season - and the first time that we have our eyes roll to the game being called America's mmajunkie Game of the Week - functions Packers vs. 49ers vs. Rams and Cardinals, with Green Bay and San Francisco to course the greater spread. It will be in Week 1 to September mmajunkie 8.
CBS's late first window came in Week 2 on 15 September. It will Manning Bowl III (and a local broadcast between the Jaguars and Raiders, but come on). This is the first time NBC has not gotten their mitts on Peyton vs. Eli drama. This time, it will be Jim Nantz and Phil Simms. The internet will be so glad.
Monday Night Football debuted with the now traditional doubleheader on 9 September. mmajunkie The Eagles visit the Redskins in what hopefully will not function RGIII and Kirk Cousins vs. Nick fools. ESPN and the NFL have never bothered too much to actually program the second game of the doubleheader as well, but Texans vs. Chargers is not a total loss.
Thanksgiving features what looks like a very good game, a bad game, and one that could go either way on paper. Ravens vs Steelers mmajunkie was a solid call by NBC for its second annual Thanksgiving night game. Packers vs. Lions at Fox have an okay opener. But yeesh, who is being discharged for putting the Raiders in Dallas for the late afternoon game? Does the NFL know something we do not? That one could really cruel.
Sunday Night Football returns for its eighth season on NBC, and they have a good result, despite the unimaginative opening weekend. Remember that after Week 10 matchups mmajunkie all can be bent, it still seems like a very decent mmajunkie schedule.
All through Week 9 seems to be a crackerjack tilt: 49ers-Seahawks-Saints and Cowboys are probably the two worst games among those that can not be bent, and it is an excellent mmajunkie matchups. Bears-Steelers, Patriots-Falcons, Texans-49ers three straight games interconference tremendous. Redskins-Cowboys, Colts-Texans will and Packers-Vikings great department heads rivalry showdowns. Broncos-Colts, the Manning-Luck storyline.
In fact, there is only one game out of six potential flex games I could see away: Cincinnati-Pittsburgh in Week 15. Broncos-Patriots in Week 12 features yet another Brady-Manning showdown. Huge Redskins give you the Eli-RGIII matchup. Even Falcons-Packers will have a very decent QB battle. Patriots-Ravens is a fun one Sunday night last year, in the sense that it was one of the games that the replacement refs had a small hand in Overall though, NBC's schedule is pretty awesome for 2013. ESPN
ESPN has slowly but surely make Monday Night
