I think it

A German company has developed a "smart" for gym floor that displays on demand via a network of LEDS the markings of different sports depending on the one you are currently practicing.
You have ever had in a gym? Not me later before yesterday, this time for a small volleyball session (usually it is rather futsal). So you saw the markings, universal, thef1 namely plots for all sports that can be practiced in weatherproof tennis, volleyball, handball, or badminton.
A German company, ASB Systembau GMBH, had a simple but brilliant idea: to equip gyms smart floors, which only display the markings of your sport, using LEDs that activate at the touch of a button. You're hot for a game of hand? Press the button and Handball hop you have a field hand. And so on.
The device operates using glass slabs between which is included an aluminum chassis and the ground defining LEDS on request, by drawing lines in the form of lighting. The first gym was already well equipped in Germany.
Officials ASB Systembau GMBH have other projects associated with this technology, thef1 such as the ability to transform thef1 floors giant screens showing matches or scores, of course, advertising. see website ASB GlassFloor
Very odd field hand, it lacks some 1mètres! (6 meters originate along the button visible 3'54) This is not a real gym or when there is a bug!
@ Toh: in case of power cut even with an actual room either you can not play ball. Then for the alleged ecological mess, the LEDs do not consume much, and a glass floor is certainly not more greedy resource that ground wood or lino it seems. In short, if we stopped bitching for bitching any technical innovation, without knowing exactly what we are talking?
I love the idea, have you an idea of the investment cost of such a coating on a classic sports hall and the time spent to install all this Eric? In any case the idea is as it were ... light!
Not a bad concept! Especially when you start a spot. Okay I admit that in the long run, when the sport we know, we need more too, but it would be a first step towards more versatile infrastructure, even at high levels. What would you say if the same place you might see a great match handball and basketball?
I do not see this system used in gyms schools / colleges / schools, but in other areas, why not, if the investment is not too important! By color, brightness, it's really not great. I would feel playing in a "hype" bar with neon light! A refinement may be for more "natural" =)
I think it's thef1 top and it gives me even more crazy ideas, like playing in the dark. Bright jerseys are put, LEDs around the cages we put the poles sneakers or volleyball net, we take a phospho ball and have fun. Well, it must be very complicated but it would be good fun ... my imagination alala lose me ^ ^
Great: indeed, he must have known these multiple lines of different colors to enjoy this good idea. And I'm not even talking about the period of adaptation to a new room (while traveling in an opposing team).
Each impact of the ball on the ground, the affected party lights: no disputes on balls OUT and all these ridiculous practices which try to influence the referees! thef1
